Understanding people and organisations

You can only change what you understand

Thinking outside the box is valuable, but when it comes to change you have to also respect that the box is there for a reason.

Workz pride ourselves in our understanding of people and organisations, as well as our business acumen. We combine theories and methods from the humanities and social sciences with 25 years of experience in the inner workings of modern businesses across sectors.

We then add a creative approach, to create relevance and drive results.

Benefits

We understand organisations and people

Years of experience working with large organisations combined with cross-disciplinarian backgrounds allows us to collaborate on a high level with our clients. Right from the start.

Organisational empathy

We understand organisations and the people in them. We speak the language of modern corporations and know what buttons to push and when to push them.

Big picture

We keep a focus on internal and external value chains and stakeholder landscapes. This helps us keep a high quality and smooth processes.

Relevance and results

We make sure our solutions and processes feels relevant and adds value for all stakeholders, not just the people who hire us. We do not deliver check-box solutions; we delivering actual value.

Theoretical background

Workz are a cross-disciplinarian team. On the consulting side we have educational backgrounds in the humanities, social and political sciences as well as business and administration.

When designing tools and solutions we find inspiration and borrow heavily from philosophers, sociologists and military historians. From Stephen Bungay, Niklas Luhmann and Marshal Ganz to John Kotter and Rick Mauer.

As a company we partner with tool makers and platform operators like DiSC Workplace Profiles and the Korn Ferry Leadership Architect competency framework.

Through the International Change Group we are part of a large network of fellow-minded consultancies that inspire each other to keep evolving our solutions.

Cross-sector experience

Theories is one thing, reality is sometimes another.

Workz draw from a rich experience of more than 20 years of helping large organisations with change, leadership and learning. This allows us to work with the “big picture” and explore different perspectives across functions, organisations and sectors.

We know the underlying structures, issues and solutions that different clients have in common. But we also know that no organisations are 100% alike. The key often lies in figuring out what is the same, and what is different.

Professional curiosity

Theories and experience is a great foundation, but without curiosity and an open mind we risk becoming complacent.

While Works might be experts in change, leadership, and learning, you are experts in your own context. We always prioritise getting to know you and what makes your situation special.

As part of our development processes, we interview subject-matter experts and host co-creation workshops to make sure our solutions are relevant and deliver usable results for all parties.

We are also curious about the theories and frameworks that are succesful in your organisation. The goal is to make our solutions fit with the things you are already doing.
