Symposium: The human side of mergers and acquisitions

Mergers and acquisitions are a process where the human side of change management is often under-prioritised, even though the chances of success are deeply related to it. Identifying and realising synergies, assessing and reducing risks and, most importantly, building and strengthening trust between external stakeholders, leadership and employees.

On Thursday, 30th November, from 15.00-17.00, Geelmuyden Kiese and Workz are co-hosting a symposium on 'The human side of Mergers and acquisitions'.

In this symposium, we will dive deep into the human side of the M&A journey before and after the merger becomes official. We will discuss…

  • How to prepare stakeholders, collaborators, clients and employees on the upcoming merger. How do we frame the story in a way that not only is legal and makes sense financially, but also serves as an engaging foundation for the new organisation?

  • How to create buy-in and meaning after the merger? How to help the organisation re-align to the new situation without losing out in terms of autonomy and capacity to deliver? What is the role of leadership in creating and anchoring a new combined culture?

The event is for experienced HR and communication professionals and executives who are looking for inspiration and are willing to participate in sharing their own experiences and ideas.

The program will be a combination of presentations, interactive workshop elements and informal networking, including a talk with Merete Færgemand, Director of Leadership and Organizational Transformation at Novozymes, and Malene Green Brostrøm, Senior Director HR HQ Denmark at WSAudiology.

The event runs from 15.00 to 17.00 so you almost get a full working day before and will still be able to make it home in time for dinner afterwards.
